Target has a pretty great DVD sale going this week. Normally, I don't even look at those pages in the ads, but something drew me to them this time. Ain't God good?! Facing the Giants was on sale for $10. I've been wanting to get it, but, cheapskate that I am, haven't pried my fingers off the cash. Until today. I'm so glad I did! I just finished watching it and immediately started it again.
I loved the Kendrick Brothers' first movie, Flywheel, and have just about worn out that DVD. This one is going to follow suit. For a bunch of small-town Georgia amateurs, these people have put together two amazing films. Both have had me in tears every time I watch.
If you haven't heard of any of these people or their films - and that's fairly likely the case - check out their site. Then watch the movies. Great CLEAN entertainment for the whole family. Now, please pass the popcorn. 8-}

I'd never heard of them before, but now you have got me interested. I'll have to see if I can find one of their movies to watch. It sounds like their movies are more of what we need to be watching!
Thanks!
I'm definitely going to look for this one. I saw Flywheel and LOVED it. They are obviously not professional actors, but they did a pretty darned good job.
No, they're not pros, but the movies are wonderful. I've seen both several times. The characters are 'real' people with real faith.
SwampAngel, I hope they make more. Hollywood isn't going to beat down their doors, but our family enjoys their work.
Jean, even when the acting isn't the best I've ever seen, it just works somehow.
Lara, yes! Both movies really touched my heart. If I remember correctly, Flywheel was made with $20,000 in donations.
Oh, I just found out they ARE making a new movie. It's called Fireproof and is supposed to be out in September. Can't wait!
