Florida Factoid Friday

The Tampa Bay Hotel served as headquarters for U.S. military leaders, including Col. Theodore Roosevelt, during the Spanish-American War in 1898. Some 30,000 troops were stationed in the area.

I SOOOOO love UT. I can see from a distance at certain places on the Crosstown... I have to remind myself not to transfix too long on it or I might crash... but I'm tempted. My MIL graduated from there in the 30's and when she was alive I took her to bi-annual meetings with the elderly folk... it was a blast.
