Florida Factoid Friday

The most photographed hole in golf is the 17th island hole
at the Tournament Players Club Sawgrass at Ponte Vedra Beach.
Except for a path to the green, the 132-yard hole is surrounded by water.

I've played it twice. Same result both times. The whole course is extremely tough.

Methinks the absurd British Open should be dropped as a "major" championship and replaced by the TPC at Sawgrass.

All sensible people agree it's harder to win the TPC.

Troll, bowing to your obviously superior golf-knowledge, I'll agree. I know absolutely nothing about golf... well, except that it involves clubbing a little ball through the grass and into a hole. 8-}
