Here's one of the moons, which proved quite difficult to photograph.
Along with the jellyfish, we found sea urchins, puffer remains and a starfish print in the sand. We don't see so many interesting creatures in the Big Bend. The marshy, submerged coastline has relatively little sandy beach to explore. If you find yourself on the Emerald Coast, be sure to make time for Oaks by the Bay Park and the marina just up the street. If my heart weren't set on moving back to the Tampa Bay area, I'd surely have to consider living in/near PC. Hey, if it's Flarda, it's got to be good. 8-]

I absolutely love your banner photograph: is that Woodruff Dam? Jelly fish are interesting too, now that you mention it, I haven't seen any recently on beach, and only a few this summer ... (knock on wood)
We spent Sat. @ Ft DeSoto,and found lots of sea urchins, starfish and sand dollars.Guess they were done in by the cold front last week.
Go me!
I knew oolite was stretching it, unless it was a Bahamas vacation shot!
Robert, thanks ever so! That is, indeed, Jim Woodruff Dam. It's one of my favourite day trips and definitely one of my favourite subjects to shoot.
CC/JJ, I wish I'd had time to do Ft DeSoto when we were down that way. It's a fabulous park and one of the top birding spots in FL.
FC, not much chance of a Bahamas vacation for this ol' cracker gal. FL is almost paradise, anyhow. The only reason I'd want to go is to find more critters to shoot. OK, winters like this might convince me. 8-}
