Yes, FC and Suze guessed correctly.

I know we already did an anole, but I kinda had to drop back and punt this week. I spent half of last week with a miserable bug (thanks a heap, DS) and the weekend trying desperately to sleep more than 2 hours before waking in a coughing fit.

I perched precariously on the porch rail to poach these pics just before conceding I was not fit to be out. I believe both had their eyes closed when I first detected the doting duo. He looks rather annoyed, doesn't he? After a few minutes, I briefly moved away to take a couple quick shots of my nearly-ripe tomatoes.

When I came back, he was following the lady across the rail, stopping occasionally to rise up in a king-of-the-porch pose, extending his dewlap. Aha! Finally, I'll have a really good shot of that display.... er, what's that blinky red thingy in the corner of the viewfinder? Dead battery! Curses! Foiled again!

It's Spring and lizard lust is in the air! At work I watc the male agamas chase the females and see if they happen to get lucky. Haven't seen it happen yet. The ladies are fast!

Purty 'maters! I have some little grape tomatoes growing right now. I hope they'll be ready for picking before the heat does them in.

Hope you're feeling better!!

Sophie: Hope you are feeling better... nothing worse than feeling bad when the weather is so gorgeous.

Your tomatoes are looking great. You are growing them in a container? I actually put a plant in a container and placed it next to my raised beds-- just to see how it would grow or better said... to see the difference in how they would grow.

I tend to harvest mine just before they are ripe and let them ripen on the window sill... do you ever do that?

I sliced up two of the juiciest tomatoes today for lunch ... I'm remembering now how tomatoes are supposed to taste!

Thanks, y'all! I'm feeling just about human again. 8-}

SwampAngel... I love the way the male grabs the female's neck. I watched a PBS program recently about all the exotics down there. UGH! I mean, they're cool... in their place. >8\

I wish I'd gotten some reall big beefsteaks. These are good, but I do love those giants.

Meems, I just did the one big pot this year. Figured if I planted a bunch in the garden, the deer, rabbits, foxes, coyotes, bears, etc would munch them to nubs before I got a bite.

Yes, I usually pick them before they're ripe enough to eat. Usually, I put them in a brown paper bag to ripen. The first ones were great... can't wait for more. 8-]

Nice shots!
Your tomatoes are way ahead of mine. I had to wait until I finished the deer fence.

So SophieMae...

What else is going on in your neck of the woods? You haven't been posting much other than your puzzle pics (which I love!). How's Duller? You have any summer vacation planned?

Hey, I'm at work and bored to tears. Give me something to read, woman! :)
