What it is?

Between having to hunt down the PSP disc and blogger refusing to load, I was beginning to think I'd never get these pictures sorted out. Now comes the eternity of uploading.

Meanwhile, here's a little picture puzzler for y'all...

What is it?

A platypus? Yes, the rare and elusive Florida Swamp Platypus!

Platypus was EXACTLY what I was thinking, too! Otherwise, I'm stumped.

Swampangel and Steve, I thought the same thing when I cropped that little section. Maybe we're onto something here. He probably lives next door to the skunk ape. 8-]

So what the heck is it?

Bear? The black ridgy thing is throwing me off...

Ani?
Emu?
Beaverbutt?

The black ridged part at the bottom looked very much like an Anhinga tail feather, but the fluffy (furry-looking) part above made me think mammal. But it turns out that adult Anhingas actually HAVE downy tufts at the base of the tail. So that's my guess, now that platypus didn't fly.

I'm going to say a hat. It was my first thought and I'm going to stick with it... :-0

Swampangel, the answer is forthcoming.

FC, BEAVERBUTT! LOL! I did notice the similarity. Alas, I have yet to see a live beaver. Still hoping...

Steve, it does look like fur, doesn't it? You're right, a platypus doesn't fly. ;}

Meems, I have a hat that looks siimilar, but this isn't it.
