Great guesses! Kathy nailed it. Until recent years, I was always a syrupy kinda gal, not caring so much for honey. While buying gifts for a honey-loving friend, the honey man offered a sample and I was hooked. Tupelo is my first choice with saw palmetto running a fairly close second. I'd like to collect a sample-size variety and taste test sage, gallberry, sourwood, blackberry... Any honey aficionados out there?

Monofloral Orange Blossom Honey is one I'll recommend that I'm sure you can find. Fireweed Honey is another. Yum yum yummy, but harder to find.
Honey! Ha! I sure missed that one.
I only use it once in a while on biscuits, but oh is it good that way.
Woo-hoo! I guessed it right! :) How exciting. You know why? Because honey on homemade biscuits is one of my favorite treats. I actually just had one about an hour ago! :)
Blessings Sophie!
Troll, I've had OB, but not fireweed. I'll definitely look for it.
FC, hopefully, I'll find some nature (that I haven't already done) this weekend.
Kathy, good eats! 8-]
Did you go to the guy with the stand behind his house? Sometimes he camps out down by the refuge too...
When we lived in Wakulla, we went there regularly. My husband's ex LOVES his honey - we send her a jar every year for Christmas.
Sayre, I get all my tupelo from that guy... and an occasional mayhaw jelly. I'm all about supporting local business. 8-]
