On April 4th, 1919, during a spring training exhibition game
at Plant Field (later named Pepin-Rood Stadium),
Babe Ruth hit one of the most memorable home runs of his career.
It traveled an estimated 587 feet,
which would make it the longest in baseball history.
A plaque marks the site.
