Great old-timey photos. Last time I was there, 20 years ago, there were still cigar factories.
That's a great name for a town. Its name alone makes me want to visit.
Oh, I have some great growing-up memories of the way it used to be in Ybor City. It's comical to hear folks pronounce it 100 different ways, too.
Many of the old factories/buildings are still in place. Sadly, some sit vacant and deteriorating while others have been refurbished and occupied by businesses, shops, and restaurants. They are wonderful old buildings with architectural features not seen anymore in these parts.
Ybor City is still a wonderfully quaint part of Tampa... if you visit during the day. :-)
