Elementary, My Dear...

Happy Birthday, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle!
Yep, born 22 May 1859.
And Tuesday would have been Jimmy Stewart's 100th.
My XM dial spends a lot of time on Radio Classics.
I've been listening to Sherlock, Fibber McGee and Molly, Life of Riley, The Shadow, Sgt Preston of the Yukon...
With gas prices on a fast ship to the moon, I'm definitely gonna have to get a home kit.

Anybody else an NCIS fan? I'm beginning to hate season finales. My reception out here is iffy, so I sometimes miss unspoken important data. What did Leon shred? And what's with the NEW TEAM deal? Nuh-UH! Maybe they're all staying, but going undercover with new ID's? I don't like Leon much. I hope he gets replaced quickly.

I know, I'm rambling. Just killing some time here, avoiding going back to work in the spare room. I NEED to get rid of a ton of useless junque. Anybody wanna back a van up to my front door? How/why on earth do I accumulate so much rubbish? My house is starting to look like a Dr. Phil project. HELP ME!!!

OK, I feel better now. 8-}
Hope y'all have an AbFab holiday weekend.
Be good to yourselves.
And may God bless!

I'm a huge Sherlock Holmes and Watson fan. In fact, for Christmas a few years ago my mom gave me the complete works of Sherlock Holmes. It has every story ever written. I've been reading it daily while working out on the exercise bike. I'm on The Hounds of the Baskervilles right now. It's great escapism reading. I can almost feel myself in 19th century London.

I was never a big Shelock Holmes fan, but a friend of me got me hooked on a series of books by Laurie R. King that have Holmes in them...a different twist, but very good books! I highly recommend reading the first one "The Beekeeper's Apprentice" and see if you don't agree.

Ah Jimmy Stewart. They just don't make 'em like him anymore, do they? I think I've love every movie he's been in.

I hope the H season is quiet, but for some reason, I have a feeling that it won't be... the weather has just been too weird and severe all over the world. If something heads your way, you are welcome (if you dare!) to come on down south and stay with us!

Cedrorum, what a great gift! It's been far too long since I READ any Holmes stories. Methinks a trip to the library is in order.

FC, I don't watch tv a whole lot, but there are a few shows that I can't miss. NCIS - Naval Criminal Investigative Service - is on CBS Tuesday nights. For some reason, I'm drawn to CSI-type programs. The investigation is often more interesting than the storyline.

SwampAngel, I'll look for those books.

Jimmy Stewart will always be a favourite. Today's 'stars' can't hold a candle to those of that era.

If we see a storm heading this way, I'm making tracks for Kentucky. 8-}
