I'm still alive... 8-]

It's been hard getting back into the computer habit after 2 weeks of pretty much puter-fasting. Just when I thought I'd pick it up again, the flu hit and I spent three days in bed, never even looking at this thing. I haven't even taken a single picture since April 22! Anyhow, needless to say, I've had a lot of email to wade through the past couple days. Sure glad I set freecycle to 'read online'! I'm just about caught up with all that, now maybe things can start to return to some semblance of normalcy.

While I was 'away' I spent a lot of time just soaking up The Word... reading my Bible, watching CTN and listening to the local Christian radio stations. I really needed that! I even stuck to walking every day. Amazing, isn't it, how quickly your body turns to mush? Three days in bed and I feel like I'm right back where I started from, trying to work up enough energy/gumption to walk to the mailbox and back. (Don't be too hard on me, the mailbox is roughly a city block from the front door. 8-} )

Some of y'all were asking about my weight loss efforts. For a while, I hovered on a plateau, but I'm back in gear, PTL! I should be hitting the -50 mark soonly! WAHOOOOO!!!!! The new clothes I bought just a few weeks ago are getting baggy already.

BTW, if you missed 'the tick incident', it's still posted here. Ah, the joys of living in the woods. And yes, JJ, I am watching my salt and eating lots of BP-reducing foods. There I was, thinking all those Subway lunches were oh so healthy. Nearly a whole day's sodium in one 6" sub!

I'll try to post again soonly. Maybe I'll dust off my camera and head for the refuge this weekend. OH, that reminds me.. FC, I read a birding report the other day that cited 36 soras over there!!! Yes, in one day! Meanwhile, y'all be blessed!

Have a JESUS-filled day! ^i^

It's nice to see you're still alive :-D I've had two tick experience in my life: One was on my back, and when my mom pulled it out, it left its head in there...so...she told me to get two needles, tweezers, alcohol, and cotton balls...the rest is self-explanatory (ow). The second time, I pulled the guy out and threw him on the floor and he started CRAWLING (auuuuugh!). I picked him up and showed him to my mom, who proceeded to kill him. Good old Florida medicine there :-D

ow-EE! There is somethng to be said for novacaine. 8-} Unfortunately, this one was in a bad position to operate on myownself and there was nobody around to help. Not sure who I'd trust with a needle in my neck, anyhow. How I loathe those creatures!

I wish I had a dollar for every tick I've pulled off me bod.
