The rice rats have more of that long rodent nose thing going on. And smoother hair. As far as I could tell. As long as they stay out of my house, I'm happy to live and let live. 8-}SophieMaehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09396958301555933308noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35354768.post-28897558418561801482007-06-18T21:38:00.000-04:002007-06-18T21:38:00.000-04:00Rice rat, cotton rat, rat rat??Really nice shots S...Rice rat, cotton rat, rat rat??<BR/>Really nice shots Sophie.R.Powershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04905593499136090763noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35354768.post-55390435736526219742007-06-18T00:35:00.000-04:002007-06-18T00:35:00.000-04:00Peggy, I went out there this evening and saw one o...Peggy, I went out there this evening and saw one of the babies and one adult. But I didn't even try to take pics, as my camera doesn't do at all well in low light. Even though I've been 3 times this week, I am still amazed at how little water is in the ponds. Hoping for rain, but not till the stilts hatch.SophieMaehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09396958301555933308noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35354768.post-37456015012378982972007-06-17T18:38:00.000-04:002007-06-17T18:38:00.000-04:00I got out to St. Marks today and I think I saw the...I got out to St. Marks today and I think I saw the green heron nest. None of my pictures came out very well (different lens than usual, just wasn't up to it, I guess) so they aren't posted anywhere. I think I saw a couple of those little rats by the lighthouse! I was amazed by how dried up all the ponds are (makes sense, with the drought).Peggyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03861017902223636619noreply@blogger.com
